WE THE PEOPLE... What Does It Really Mean

As a child growing up in America I was taught from a young age that our nation was a nation ruled by the PEOPLE. I was told we elect representatives to serve us in political office and they are to do the will of the PEOPLE. I'm still told this today. Our nation is a nation of the PEOPLE by the PEOPLE and for the PEOPLE. I'm a bit confused by this. Why, you ask? Simply put, I don't see this as a reality.

The PEOPLE want illegals out and for the nation to enforce border security, but Washington DC wants to give them amnesty and continue to keep the borders open. The PEOPLE want the death penalty enforced, but it's not done. The PEOPLE are against sodomy, yet those who practice it, do so openly AND they want special rights given to them. The PEOPLE want swift justice, but would settle for simple justice period, yet there seems to be less and less each year. The PEOPLE want accountability in government, we get self-serving, over indulgent bureaucracy.

How then is America governed by “WE THE PEOPLE...?” Simply put, we're not! WE THE PEOPLE has been replaced by we the COROPATIONS, we the LOBBYIST, we the MINORITY, we the RICH and most recently, not to mention, most ridiculously: we the ILLEGALS. This is not the government American founding fathers created. This not the government they risked their lives, their families or their fortunes to create. This is not the America our forefathers went to war to protect. This is not America, not the real one.

I believe the true American is still here, hidden, robbed, and beaten down. I saw glimpses of it when our recent Senate, Congress and President ALL, amazing as it is, finally agreed on something: the recent Immigration legislation. The TRUE America STOPPED this bill, the TRUE America is still alive, although weak and spread out. The TRUE America has proved, if we STAND TOGETHER, we can prevail against the greatest threat to national security: Both Houses of Representatives.

The Indians once controlled this great land, but had it taken from them because they DID NOT stand up TOGETHER. Early settleters picked them off one tribe at a time while they fought internally against themselves. We who are TRUE Americans MUST learn from how they suffered and UNITE or soon America will be a memory, pages in a history book that teachers teach uninterested students about.

8 Things People Need To Know About Gaming

Video games are enjoyed by young and old. However the internet, magazines, and more are replete with untruths about gaming. The world is replete with things like “ gaming leads to violence; gaming ruins the eyesight; kids who get involved with video games become school drop outs or fall into bad company ,” and more.

As parents, teachers, and adults we need to separate truths from untruths and take decisions about video gaming based on research and proven facts. Here are a few points to consider:

1. Many are convinced that video and computer games spur violence in kids. The truth is that today 90 percent of the male population and 40 percent of the female population play video or computer games and according to federal crime statistics juvenile crime is quite low and not on the rise. Criminals are rarely created by gaming, more often than not it is a number of factors like broken homes, poverty, drug habits, and more.

2. A popular belief is that video gaming increases aggression among kids. Many studies are based on narrow field samples and does not represent a fair sampling. Media hype promotes the conclusion reached by studies that have poor methodology or analysis. Violence exists all around us in the news, in the movies, and more. The worst aggression is that exhibited by road rage. While violence in games exists it is not a primary factor that leads to aggressive behavior. Kids must be exposed to a holistic lifestyle and have good values ingrained in them at home and in school. Research has in no way established a direct link between gaming and violence although many involved in the school shootings were gamers.

3. Video and computer games are made for kids. While this may have been a fact a few years ago today gamers age from around 6-80+ years. Gaming is a passion with the young and old and advances in technology have created a following among adults too. Games are rated so that parents can make wise choices when purchasing games.

4. Games waste time and have no positive effects. This is an untruth and studies by child development and other experts have found that games heal, enhance eye-hand co-ordination, sharpen thinking power, teach kids to make quick decisions, and enhance creativity. Gaming according to several experts benefits children in many ways and even inculcates motivation and self confidence.

5. Video and computer games are exclusively for boys and men. While there is some truth in this, today the female sex is “shoulder to shoulder” with men in every field of endeavor. Statistics show that today more women play web based games than men and there are many women involved in designing and producing games.

6. Games teach kids to kill. While the military does use games to train soldiers there is no logical conclusion that every kid who plays video or computer games will become a soldier. Soldiers have a different profile and it is the military training that makes them soldiers not just gaming. In fact James Gee in his book “ What Video Games Have to Teach Us About Learning and Literacy” establishes the “learning potential” of games; games inculcate problem solving abilities in gamers and teaches gamers to be team players.

7. Games are a waste of time is a wide belief. In fact experts prove that games can be positive if handled properly. Kids or adults must limit their gaming activities and indulge in other hobbies too. Games according to research allow gamers to role play and take important nation building decisions. Gamers can experience first hand what the decisions result in, this according to researches makes them consider the consequence of their actions before they make one not just I games but in real life too.

8. Video games make loners. Video and computer games are not isolating. In fact most gamers play in teams with people living all over the world. The internet has opened up many doors and gamers today learn from others, interact with many who are not even from their own culture or age. Gaming has no barriers and has created an open world.

The Real Reason People "Break Their ARM"

Are you a broker that has been getting a lot of people coming in lately saying they want a fixed rate now because this Pay Option Arm someone “talked them into” was a mistake and they want out of i?

Are you being told the POA is a bad loan and they feel like they were deceived? If you have you may want to read this article.

I can venture to say most of us have been getting that kind of customer lately. If you look real close at the customers coming in, they are typically people you’ve never seen before. So they are not your former customers, but they can easily be your future client. If you listen to what they are saying, it isn’t so much the Pay Option Arm, it’s more of a complaint about the person that sold it to them in the first place. Oh sure, they may not be happy because of the “rate” they have now or their current balance, but the real reason lies a bit deeper than that and can usually be traced back to the broker that sold the POA to that customer.

Let me explain what I’m talking about.

If you can think back 3 or 4 years ago, the buzz word “interest only” was the big rage in our industry. With that, came the hybrid product called the Pay Option Arm. (yes I know the Pay Option Arm was around LONG before then, but if you follow the trend, a lot of mortgage companies didn’t offer it because the brokers didn’t understand it).

Interest rates were at an all time low and EVERYONE claimed to have the “lowest rates in town”. Customers would call 5-10 mortgage companies and literally get a deal for almost no cost because a lot of mortgage companies were counting on sheer volume to make their money so it didn’t matter if they didn’t charge much for each deal. Some brokers, to counter these low fees others offered, started offering some version of the POA solely based on the lowest INDEX at the time (and which the lender paid a high yield spread). They did this to be different from the other mortgage companies.

Leaders Help People to Help Themselves

Remember the old television series, The Lone Ranger? A lot of traditional managers see themselves in a similarly heroic role. In the TV show, when the poor hapless townsfolk got themselves into big trouble, the Lone Ranger and his faithful sidekick would come riding over the hill. With the right degree of courage, wit, and cunning, he faced down the mean hombre or otherwise took care of the problem for the town. At the end of the nice, neat, half hour episode, our hero would leave the grateful townsfolk behind wondering, "Who was that masked man?"

The same spirit of rugged individualism runs deep within many of today's "heroic managers." They solve problems, take command, control and direct, occasionally empower team members, and are caught up in putting out daily operating fires. They are often overworked and a growing number are burning out. Managers often talk about their volume of email, voice mail, projects, meetings, and many hours worked. Is that bragging or complaining? One of the big reasons typical managers are caught up in their "busyness" cycle is because it makes them feel important. They are at the center of the action. They are making it happen. They get the adrenaline rush of urgent heroic problem-solving that saves the day for their poor hapless team.

Leaders spend much less time personally solving problems. They invest their time in making sure that the right problems are being solved. Here's how we might rewrite The Lone Ranger script for a leader rather than a heroic manager:

Responding to the call for help, the Lone Ranger rides into town, gets down off his high horse, takes off his mask, and facilitates a process by which the townspeople solve the crisis for themselves. He gets to know the people and matches their strengths and abilities to established performance targets. After seeing them through the crisis, he rides out of town, with the townspeople saying, "Hey, we solved this ourselves."

When the next problem arose, the townspeople might still call for the Lone Ranger, but in an advisory capacity; they would be more likely to handle the crisis within the team. Each time they handled their own problems, they would increase their ability to identify and eliminate the root causes, their capacity to work as a team, and their level of confidence. Eventually the Lone Ranger and Tonto would join the lonely Maytag Repairman, flipping playing cards into their hats as they swap stories around the campfire.

Personal Loan For People With Bad Credit

Either way you look at it, personal expenses and debt play a key role in the lives of many. When you have problems however it can be a personal loan for people with bad credit that can help you out. A personal loan for people with bad credit can mean the difference between financial woes, or having life options.

Who Can Apply For A Personal Loan For People With Bad Credit?

This statement is pretty much self-explanatory, as you would not apply for a bad credit loan if you can get an unsecured personal loan. A personal loan for people with bad credit is for the individual that just cannot convince a larger financial institution that they are good for the loan. This is primarily due to the credit history that will be before the lenders eyes while reviewing your application. A personal loan for people with bad credit is basically a second chance for someone to correct the financial mess that they face, anyone who is not facing financial woes need not apply.

How Much Can You Borrow On A Personal Loan For People With Bad Credit?

A personal loan for people with bad credit really is not without its downfalls, while it will help you in a financial pinch, it really will not offer much in the way of funds to be borrowed. This is because the lender already knows that you have had some financial difficulties in the past, they are not in the business to offer a personal loan for people with bad credit to those that they fear will not be able to meet the obligations of the loan.

For this reason, personal loans for people with bad credit are generally balanced out to a maximum of $5,000. This amount is very manageable and can be paid off in a relatively short period of time. Personal loans for people with bad credit are meant to allow people that have been turned down by larger lenders due to their credit score and character history. This is a means that the lender will now allow a person with poor credit to have a second chance.

Where Do You Find A Personal Loan For People With Bad Credit?

If you happen to be looking for a personal loan for people with bad credit, you do actually have many options. One of the best options is to look online for the lender, many of the lenders for a personal loan for people with bad credit sign up for a loan pool. The loan pool is where the lenders company names will all be placed into a system, from this system the lender is selected once you have placed your personal information into the loan application online. This is a great method to find a personal loan for people with bad credit, and it will surely be a life saver should you not find any other means to gain funds.

Get the Right People for Better Revenue

If you're like I was when I first started out in Internet Marketing, you're probably wondering how to be successful. I didn't know much about being online. I had no idea about how to get a web page up and running. I had no idea how to drive traffic to it, once it was up. I had only about $50, and I didn't know anyone--no one at all!

What I did was find the most successful people online, and I tried to figure out what made them successful. I mean, there had to be something they all had in common. So, I researched people like Alex Mandossian, Jay Abraham, and T. Harv Eker, and several other people. When I was finished, I realized that the one thing they had in common, the single most important thing, was that they had huge lists. They had enormous lists of people that they could call, write to, or email any time they wanted to. They could offer them valuable information and products and make money whenever they needed to make it. It became primarily important to me that I start list building.

Remember, though, I said I didn't know anyone. I had no idea where I'd get a list, and I'm betting that you don't know where to get one, either. My method was by joint venture, through List Crusade, which got me tons of subscribers. The secret, though, the most important secret is to always be list building. Even after you have a gigantic list, you should still be list building.

You may have secrets of your own and are already list building, but most new people are probably wondering where to find people who will be interested in what you have to offer them.

First, you need to define a niche. What do you like? What's important to you? Maybe you're a gardener? A parent? Are you into crossword puzzles? When you're not at work, what do you like to do? Maybe you're into sports or you might like NASCAR. And then, maybe you just like to shop at the mall on the weekends. Whatever. Each of these activities has list building potential. Find the people who like to do what you like to do, and they're your target market.
